We are the Drexel College of Medicine Student Interest Group in Neurology, a band of stalwart individuals in pursuit of enlightment in the way of the medical arts. Our history dates back to times of yore...2004 AD, to be exact. Our mission? Well, read below.
Ahem...Our mission is to provide first and second year medical students with exposure to the field of Neurology, that branch of medicine that is interested in the study of the brain and mind, and the diagnosis AND TREATMENT of pathologies thereof. We've dedicated ourselves to informing our fellow brothers and sisters of the medical faith about shadowing opportunities with esteemed members of the Neurology department. We strive to disseminate knowledge about recent developments in the field of neurology through seminars with revered speakers from the clinical as well as research and academic domains. Finally, we offer communion and fellowship among like-minded individuals and a chance to hobnob with those much more advanced in the discipline than ourselves.
We have a number of exciting seminars planned with professionals on the frontlines of modern neurology (see below). Future seminars will likely include focuses on neuro-oncology and pediatric neurology. Stay tuned.
